Good morning! Yesterday I needed a card for my sister-in-law's bridal shower - since as usual, I was so great at planning ahead! It was a good opportunity though to pull out some of my favorite layered rose dies and play along with a challenge as well!
The current Altenew challenge was perfect - since two of her favorite colors are blue and yellow:
After stamping all the layers out on the white layer, I stamped my sentiment in the same two shades of yellow as the little flowers - inking it up fully in the light yellow, then rocking the bottom of the image in the darker yellow - perfect DIY ombre ink! Wish it showed up better in the photo - but the sentiment says "Celebrate" - I tucked a little scrap of doily and some black thread underneath it, mounted it with foam adhesive, then mounted the entire panel on foam over a soft gray card base.
Here are links to the supplies I used on this card - including the ink colors I layered together for the flowers. Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!
Truly GORGEOUS! Now you've made me want a whole new line of stamp pads! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous!! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW - I NEED to try my hand at layered stamping, feeling SO INSPIRED!!!
THANK YOU for sharing :)
PS - I have to ask - are the roses only two layers of stamping?
DeleteThank you Tracy!!! I love them - and they are so easy! These are actually 3 layers - the lightest is a little hard to see in the photos. Some of the roses in this set have the option of four layers even! Pretty amazing how realistic they can end up looking!
DeleteAbsolutely Gorgeous, and neat idea with the ombre look!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! Those roses are stunning!
