Hello! Occasionally I get asked questions about certain supplies that I use - I have been trying to link them at the bottom of my post so that they are easy to find and reference, but I'm wondering if more people prefer to have the items linked in my actual post? Or maybe even both!
Anyway - I thought I'd take a few minutes today and post a few of the things I have had questions about, recently purchased and love, or are just go to items that I use very frequently. All these are linked to Simon Says Stamp - and are affiliate links, so if you click and purchase anything, I receive a small commission (at NO additional cost to you!) - so thank you in advance for your support! :)
First up - this was a very recent purchase - and I can tell it will be getting LOTS of use! (Used on THESE cards recently) - and such a fun way to add texture to a card! I had been drooling over them for quite some time, and so happy that I finally took the plunge!

Next up, one of my favorite techniques lately is watercoloring - and this is hands down my go to ink for watercoloring, and anything where I'm not going to be coloring in with my Copic markers. It is a pigment ink - so it definitely smears with alcohol inks, but I love the beautiful, dark, and crisp impression it gives.

And...when I'm using Copic markers - this is my NEW favorite black ink! LOVE LOVE LOVE it - so nice and dark for a black dye ink! I love the clean lines I can get with it!

And of course, these are the watercolors I use all the time! I love the convenience of them, how beautifully the colors mix, and that I can pull each pan out of the box if I only want to use a couple of them. SSS is also now selling individual refills for them - I'm so excited that I'll be able to replace my favorite colors as I run out of them!

Another thing I have seen a few questions on is the string/twine I use on a LOT of my cards. It is from May Arts, and comes in lots of colors, but the two I use the most are the Natural and Ivory as seen below. I have the large spools of them, because I use them SOOO much, that it is totally worth it for me, and they last for a VERY long time!

One of my very favorite paper companies is Crate Paper - and my current crush is this Bloom 6x6 paper pad. The colors and patterns are gorgeous - I think this is one of those rare pads that I'm going to have to pick up another pad to use, because I'm not even TRYING to hoard this one - it's so beautiful it needs to shine!

Another die I have been using a lot lately - this one from Mama Elephant - I love the scallop and rectangle layers together, so simple and fun to make a beautiful card front with very little effort!

ReplyDeleteI am THRILLED to say that I got my first Versafine Onyx Black ink pad this week and - WOW - I totally agree with you, it stamps BEAUTIFULLY!!!
NOW I look forward adding other goodies to my stash ... it always helps me when products are recommended from honest experience.
As for how you share the links to your supplies, I really don't mind how you do it, I appreciate that you take the time to share them and suggest that you do what is the quickest & easiest for you to do.
