Hello! The day has finally arrived to share the sneak peeks of the brand new fun spring release from Lil' Inker Designs! Being primarily a card maker, it was kind of fun for me to play with making some different things - although also a bit of a stretch for me I must admit! Especially taking photos - I definitely feel more challenged with that - so I took a bunch to make sure I had some good ones turn out - then couldn't choose which ones I liked best, so forgive the flood of photos from me today! Haha! But seriously - these are pretty darn cute products to work with, so it was pretty easy!
First up, there are these Clear Cone Treat Baggies - they even come with a green twist tie, perfect for making your own carrot theme projects! While these would be easy to fill with orange candies or goldfish crackers, or something similar - our family has been trying to eat healthier, and I didn't happen to have anything like that in the house - and no time to run to the store and get them! So...I got creative and rolled up a 6x6 piece of orange pattern paper to insert, and filled them up with my own version of "Carrot Cake Trail Mix" - which they ended up loving! I added my recipe (of sorts!) at the bottom of this post if you're interested in more info!
I also used the new Embossed Dots Tag Dies to cut a green tag, and heat embossed a sentiment on there using Easter Hodge Podge Stamp Set - made to coordinate with an earlier released bunny die, but also perfectly usable on it's own, as you can see!
I finished off with a bunch of hemp twine tied around the top - I absolutely love how fun these were!
My youngest daughter kindly loaned me her hand to model the treats (in reward, they got to enjoy their treats right after the photo shoot - so they were happy!) Heehee!
The little bunny treats? EEEK! I am in love with that little die! SOOOO clever and fun! That is the Bunny Hugger Die and Stamp Set - and I adore it!
I wrapped them around a Trader Joe's Honey Mint (only 3 ingredients - honey, unsweetened chocolate, and mint oil - pretty much as healthy as candy can get, right? And pretty cute to boot I think!) The faces were stamped on with the stamp set it comes with - and accented with a white gel pen and Copic markers.
I added a bow using a bow die included in the new Stitched Easter Basket Die set - which we realized helped them to stand up perfectly on their own! A little enamel dot helped finish them off.
Once they had been opened (and enjoyed by my daughters!) - we took another photo of each one to show what I stamped on the inside of them!
SOOOO cute, right? I'm seriously LOVING these cuties! (Did I mention that yet?)
And in case you were wondering about that "Carrot Cake Trail Mix" I made up to put in my carrot treat bag - here is a quick photo I snapped with my phone when I put it together that evening. (The "Carrot/Strawberry Fruit Chews" were from an online snack company called Naturebox if that is something you're interested in!) I don't have a specific recipe, but I added some pecans, unsweetened dried coconut, sunflower seeds, and raisins to the mix - and they LOVED and gobbled it up! I was seriously afraid it was too healthy and they wouldn't be excited about it! Haha!
Here is a closer look at the mix:
And now the really fun part! There is, of course, a chance to win some shopping money to spend on the new goodies! YAY! Laura is giving away 3 gift certificates for random comments left along the hop - so the more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!
Here is the entire Blog Hop line-up - make sure and check out each stop and leave your comments:
