Hello! It's the last day of peeks for the brand new release at Lil' Inker Designs - hope you've had fun these past few days, and have been able to narrow down your shopping list! You should have arrived here from Jennifer Carter - if you stopped by here you can refer to the entire blog hop at the bottom so you don't miss a stop or a chance to win one of the giveaways. I also have links to all the new products I used on both of today's coffee theme cards!
Today I have two coffee theme cards to share! First up, this one using the new Coffee Talk Dies set, made to coordinate with the Coffee Talk Stamp Set.
I started off by using Stitched Woodgrain Cover Up Die on the background, then stamped and cut the coordinating stamps and dies for the coffee cup - coloring in with Copics and adding a little heart using Coffee Cozy stamp set. I also cut it once out of acetate, and then machine stitched to attach it together - you can see in this photo that it makes it look shiny and fun - like a real cup! I also cut a small slit with a craft knife to slide the straw into - kinda fun that way too!
I added a scallop border along the bottom using the new Fringe Scalloped Border Builder dies to stamp my sentiment on, and mounted the coffee cup with foam adhesive.
Next up, I decided to use the new Coffee Word Die to make a masculine card! I have a hubby who is a certified coffee addict - so this card is perfect for him!
I did some ink smooshing on watercolor paper with Tim Holtz distress ink in Ground Espresso - doing it in two layers to get variation in the deepness of the brown color, and die cut a border using Fringe Border Rectangle Dies.
Die cut the coffee word, attached to the paper over the sentiment, then added a good coat of Glossy Accents. Simple and easy!
Your next stop along the blog hop is Lisa Henke - head over there next to finish the hop before you go shopping. See you tomorrow with more projects and fun!
And now the really fun part! There is, of course, a chance to win some shopping money to spend on the new goodies! YAY! Laura is giving away 3 gift certificates for random comments left along the hop - so the more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning!
Here is the entire Blog Hop line-up - make sure and check out each stop and leave your comments:
