Good morning! I absolutely LOVE pretty sentiments and watercolor - and pairing them together for simple sets of cards is absolutely perfect in my book! For this set, I paired up the lovely new Christmas Blessings stamp set from Reverse Confetti and made this simple trio of Christmas cards that would be SUPER easy to mass reproduce!
For these, I simply used my MISTI to stamp these sentiments on watercolor paper - this way I could stamp each sentiment two or three times for a nice deep dark impression. Then I sprinkled on clear embossing powder and heat set for a resist effect with the watercolor. Here is a closer look at each sentiment and color combo:
Once the watercolor dried, I added some splatters with gold mist and thinned down white paint, then machine stitched to a soft gray card base. This is one of my favorite ways to attach watercolor to a card base - I love how it is firmly attached, and yet the free-flowing feel is so perfect with the watercolors!
I am also linking this up with a couple challenges - first up, this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes:
