Good morning! Super excited to be hopping today to celebrate the kick off of STAMPtember with Simon Says Stamp with a huge release, tons of fun and inspiration, and PRIZES too! Today is Day 2 of the hop - make sure and check out Day 1 for more inspiration and giveaways!
I'm kicking off with this FABULOUS Christmas Sweater Background stamp - and paired it up with some previously released Christmas stamps! The first pair of them is in warmer rustic colors, and the second pair are in cooler brighter color tones.
I used two different SSS dye inks in coordinating shades and my MISTI to ink these up in a diagonal ombre - lighter at the top, darker at the bottom. Can you see it in the photos?
I then stamped some the deer, bear, and banner sentiment from Magical Christmas (released last year), heat embossing them on kraft with SSS Antique Gold embossing powder and cutting them out with the coordinating dies.
I then adhered them together over a vellum Basic Banner to give them a soft differentiation from the background.
And here is the second pair of them in different color combos:
For these I used black cardstock and white embossing powder for the bear, deer, and banner.
I also used Wonky Rectangles on all 4 of these cards for the background before mounting on my cardbases - kraft for the first two, and Smoke Gray for these last two.
The bear, deer, and banners are mounted with foam adhesive on the vellum banners, I then used strong adhesive tape on the back of the banners, but just under the images so the adhesive wouldn't show.
