SSS Deer Watercolor Duo of Cards

Hello! A good couple weeks ago I shared a sneak peek of some backgrounds I had heat embossed on watercolor paper, then showed a quick peek at one of the cards I finished about a week later. Then a little over a week ago I showed most of the cards I had made with those backgrounds (you can see them HERE if you're interested) - here finally is the final two cards I made with those backgrounds!

I used SSS Christmas Sweater background - for this set, I used Silver Embossing powder, and did some loose and messy watercoloring over the top of the embossed backgrounds in a variety of pastel colors instead of just one color. I then die cut the center out with my SSS Stitched Oval dies and used the negative for one card, and the oval for another card.

For the first card I added a trio of stars from the new SSS Holy Stars Dies, die cut in black. I added some score lines under the oval before attaching it (hard to see in the photos) - and added a sentiment from the new and gorgeous Stained Glass Greetings Stamp Set.

For the second card, I added a deer cut with SSS Retro Deer Die, and a small star from SSS Holy Stars Dies and also turned this one into a shaker as the previous ones. This time, however, I added my sentiment inside the shaker using Stained Glass Greetings Stamp Set and filled it with 1/4" Silver Star Confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.

I love the bold black against the pop of pastel colors on these - and it's fun to use one background and get two cards out of it!
