Pinkfresh October Challenge - Circle Elements

Pinkfresh Studios is kicking off a BRAND NEW October Challenge: Circle Elements - paired of course with the option a fun color combo! I hope you'll come play along for a chance to win some amazing prizes - you can enter cards OR scrapbook layouts!!!

Here is the challenge info and inspiration photo:

I was super inspired by one of the cards Zsoka made for the new release blog hop (you can see the post HERE) where she die cut the new Layered Wreath from white cardstock two times and stitched it together with some machine stitching - so I started off with that for my card today.

To pull in the colors from the challenge, I used some of the brand new Pinkfresh Dye inks that are releasing in just over a week on October 14th. I was also inspired by Zsoka for this, since she used these ink pads to custom color her cardstock for that same card! I colored strips of cardstock with the ink, and then die cut the flowers from the layered wreath from those strips. The leftover strips I trimmed using Simple Edgers Die set and layered together on the bottom of my white cardbase.

I adhered the flowers around the wreath, and added a tiny jewel in the centers using Essentials: Jewels Mix. I centered it on my card to line up my sentiment from Delicate Wreath stamp set, also stamped with some of that lovely dye ink to perfectly coordinate. I tied a loose twine bow on the wreath, then adhered it with foam adhesive to my cardbase over the sentiment. Finished off by rounding just one of the top corners to add a touch of interest to the card!
