Good morning! I'm back one more time before the month is over to share a fun holiday card with non-traditional colors using some fun goodies from Simon Says Stamp! I loved this large sentiment from the appropriately named Good Cheer stamp set, and thought it would be a great focal point for a card.
I started off by heat embossing it in gold on some white cardstock, and trimming it down to a smaller rectangle using Basic Rectangle Dies. I then used Evergreen Bough, Chipped Sapphire, and Seedless Preserves distress inks to watercolor over the image. I smooshed them onto clear stamp blocks, then picked up with a wet wide brush to paint over the sentiment, leaving the edges between colors wet so the colors could blend in between each one. LOVE this color combo!
Once that dried, I added a bit more gold in the form of gold splatters. Once that dried, I mounted it onto a slightly larger panel of gold glitter cardstock - all about making that gold pop on this card!
Finally, I grabbed some Navy cardstock to heat emboss one of the supporting sentiments in gold and trim down to a thin strip. Mounted this with foam over that panel, then mounted the entire panel with foam on a white cardbase.
