Sending Birthday Wishes - Pinkfresh Studio Facebook Live Card

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card I made yesterday for Pinkfresh Studio's Facebook Live. I used a newly released layering die that was created to coordinate with an older stamp set! These layering dies have been so popular for quick coloring of images - and this one is no exception. I also was brave and did a bit of stamp surgery live! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.

I started off by separately stenciling the Floral Vase floral cluster, and the vase on separate pieces of cardstock. Mostly because I wanted to die cut them to use - but since the florals slightly overlap the vase, I could have probably masked and still stenciled in one layer. I then stamped over with the coordinating stamp set and die cut with the coordinating dies.

I masked off a portion of my card base to create a white "ground" for the vase to stand on, then did some soft stenciling with Ocean Breeze ink on the top of the card before layering over the Diamond Motif stencil to add some texture to the background with Aquamarine ink. Even though it is a slimline stencil, it was easy to adjust it so that I could match it up and cover the top of my A2 cardbase.

Next, I layered the die cut vase and florals over the background with foam adhesive, then stamped and die cut the "sending" word from the stamp set. I carefully cut "birthday wishes" apart (sounds scary, but really isn't too bad - I promise!) - so I could fit it where I wanted and not risk making a mistake while stamping. Finished off with a few of the new Metallic Silver Pearl embellishments from the last release!

There is also a sale for this weekend - and the stencil I used on this card is included in the sale! Click HERE to see what else is included in the sale, and make sure to use the promo code SLIM20 to apply the savings:
