I Just Wanna Hug You - Simon Says Stamp October Card Kit

 Hello! I'm back with another card using with the BRAND NEW October 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - So Talkative! This month's kit is super different and modern - and all about the fun sentiments! The included stamp set by the same name is full of great sentiments in a simple bold font, there is a perfect Talk Bubbles stencil, a super cool Friend Outline word die, a fun embossing folder, lovely SSS blending brush - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more! 

For today's card, I played with the Friend Outline die and a bunch of the cardstock from the kit. This card might be a bit heavy with all those cardstock layers! :)

I started off by die cutting the Friend Outline die from a strip of the holographic paper. I was going to use the outlines, but then started looking at how fun it was to leave the outlines out, and let some stripes of solid cardstock show through - so I went with that. I layered some fun colors cut into thin strips at an angle on some Cream cardstock, then added the negative and solid letters of the Friend Outline die inside.

I trimmed everything off, and added a sentiment from the stamp set that went well with the large friend word, then took those same colors of cardstock, trimmed them down a bit larger than the front panel, and adhered them one at a time at a fun angle behind it. I love how all the colors peek out in fun angles all around! I finished by adhering that panel with foam onto a white cardbase.
