I'm pairing up two of the new stamp sets on my slimline card design - along with a previously released alpha die to create my custom sentiment!
I started off by stamping and coloring that sweet image from the new
Kindred Spirits stamp set. I thought it reminded me of a vintage image of sisters - and was super sweet! I colored it up simple with Copic markers in soft tones.
For the alphas, I started off by grabbing a panel of mint cardstock, swiping my clear embossing ink pad across the bottom of it, and heat embossing with two layers of clear embossing powder. I then die cut the letters so that they were halfway between the two portions. This added a bit of fun texture, shine, and interest to the letters! I also die cut them two more times from white cardstock to layer together for a bit more dimension to the letters.
I also used my new favorite
white gel pen from Arteza to add some dots and flower doodles onto the simply colored dresses the girls were wearing. I thought it was fun to add that bit of detail to the design. These would also be super fun to paper piece with pattern paper I think!
And that finishes off this simple slimline design with two of the new items from the release! Can't wait to play with them more!
