Sister Love - Simon Says Stamp And Back Again Release Hop Day 2

Good morning! Excited today to be joining in on Day 2 of an incredible blog hop to celebrate the BRAND NEW And Back Again Release from Simon Says Stamp - as well as featuring the sneaky little December Release, To the Moon! Make sure and check out all the inspiration with this new release AND link up your creations as you receive your orders HERE and HERE in the Galleries created just for this release! And check out the graphic below to receive a FREE Love Gnome stamp set with any purchase and the coupon code below through January 23, 2022 as well - while supplies last (code expires at 11:59 PM EDT)!!!

I'm pairing up two of the new stamp sets on my slimline card design - along with a previously released alpha die to create my custom sentiment!

I started off by stamping and coloring that sweet image from the new Kindred Spirits stamp set. I thought it reminded me of a vintage image of sisters - and was super sweet! I colored it up simple with Copic markers in soft tones.

The sentiment was created with a mix of Rounded Alphabet dies and the new XL Love Greetings stamp set - don't they work perfectly together?

For the alphas, I started off by grabbing a panel of mint cardstock, swiping my clear embossing ink pad across the bottom of it, and heat embossing with two layers of clear embossing powder. I then die cut the letters so that they were halfway between the two portions. This added a bit of fun texture, shine, and interest to the letters! I also die cut them two more times from white cardstock to layer together for a bit more dimension to the letters.

I also used my new favorite white gel pen from Arteza to add some dots and flower doodles onto the simply colored dresses the girls were wearing. I thought it was fun to add that bit of detail to the design. These would also be super fun to paper piece with pattern paper I think!

And that finishes off this simple slimline design with two of the new items from the release! Can't wait to play with them more!

  9. That is such a great use of the sentiment. I always get stuck with the "love" sentiments, as there are only so many cards I can send to my hubby. I never thought about switching it up like that. I love the Kindred Spirits set, too. The card is absolutely beautiful Now I know what I have to start saving up for. My sister will love this card.
