Living in the Skagit Valley in Washington State, tulips have a special place in my heart. While it brings crowds (not my favorite), the annual Tulip Festival is also so beautiful, and it's fun to drive by the fields and check out the tulips! And while those are usually in bright spring tones, these cards were fun to create in an elegant and simple color scheme that feels more unexpected!

For these cards, I first embossed some Ivory cardstock with the new Neatly Knitted embossing folder. I die cut a window out of the center with one of the Nested Ovals dies, and adhering it to white cardbases with foam adhesive. I then die cut the new Tulip Stem die, using Ivory glitter cardstock for the detail layer, and vellum for the shadow layer. I glued those together with liquid glue, then hid thin strips of foam along part of the center of the stem and flower, and adhered those, tucking the bottom under the lower edge of the oval. Next, I added sentiments from the Reverse All the Love Sentiment Strips, and a few Glacier Jewels from Pinkfresh to finish off with the perfect touch of sparkle! Here are more photos of these finished cards:
