Good evening! I wanted to post earlier, but today ended up getting busy and wasn't able to finish writing the post until tonight. The new Splendor Release from Simon Says Stamp just landed, and one of my favorites from the release is this ADORABLE little mini gift bag! I wanted to just sit and make gift bags all day, especially with so many cute pattern papers to choose from! I stopped myself at 2 for now, but I have a feeling I will be creating many more in the future, because they are just so easy, not to mention cute!
I used the Gift Bag Wafer dies to create these, and picked two fun pattern papers from Pinkfresh Studio 12x12 paper pads. I specifically chose ones that both sides worked well together for - since the bag would show the inside as well. The strawberry paper came from the Lovely Blooms pack, and the tropical pink floral one came from the Sunshine on my Mind pack. I used some of the paper to cut a heart from the reverse side using Nested Round Hearts die to ensure perfect coordinating! I added a shadow layer behind it from a slightly larger heart cut from white cardstock and vellum cardstock to layer together - this gave a softer look to the white, and also an extra layer that adds dimension. I scored the center of all of those to add to the dimension, adhered them in the centers with liquid glue, then added foam tape to adhere the entire thing to the bag. I finished off by adding sentiments from the Reverse All the Love Sentiment Strips! Here are more photos and closer looks at each of these little bags:
