I have two cards to share today - similar, but with two different ways to create a background using the same ink colors!
For the first card, I used the new Shimmering Starfall 3D embossing folder to create a background, then swiped 3 different colors of ink pads directly across the surface. It created some color all over, but especially accentuated the stars on the front. So fun! For the second one, I just swiped the ink colors across a panel of white cardstock, then added some additional texture with a slightly darker shade of each color. I then added some detail by stamping the tiny sparkly star pattern from the new Celestial Wishes stamp set with the darker ink shade for a tone on tone effect. I also added some white splatters with my Amsterdam ink. Then, I layered sentiments over the top of each card using Fancy Dad and Father Greetings Foil Transfer cards - they can be foiled, but they also look bold and fabulous just in black as I did them for these cards. The coordinating Fancy Father wafer die cuts out the large word perfectly, and I simply trimmed the smaller panels out with a paper trimmer. Finished off with a few Pawsitively Dazzling Gems in Cool Tones for a bit of simple sparkle! Here are more photos of each of these cards:
