Good morning! Today I'm popping in with a couple more cards using some of the recent Favorite Things Release from Simon Says Stamp. I hadn't put these cute little chickies to use, and thought they would be adorable heat embossed in white on some colored cardstock - and they did not disappoint!
For these cards, I started off with the adorable Eggstra Special stamp and die set, and heat embossed in white a bunch of images on 3 different shades of Gina K cardstock - Sunkissed Coral, Emerald Coast, and Butterscotch. I cut them out with the coordinating dies - and still had extras after these cards were made! Haha! I also die cut the Postage Collage Cover die - and was able to use both the positive and negative pieces since I was making two cards. I planned my layout of the chicks, then did some simple random ink blending on the background - trying to get different colors behind each of the chicks as much as possible. For that ink blending I used Tidepool, Melon, and Cheeky. I popped up the frame on the left card with foam adhesive strips, then tucked the chicks around with foam adhesive as well. For the right card, I used Big Momma foam adhesive which is a little thinner, so I could pop the postage squares up with foam, as well as the chicks on top - that way I didn't get TOO much dimension! I added sentiments from the EZ Strips Reverse Thank You sentiment strips, and a sprinkle of Clear Dazzling Gems for added sparkle! Here is a closer look at these finished cards:
