Layered Book Card Set - Simon Says Stamp Favorite Things Release IG Hop

Good morning! Stopping by today with another card using the Favorite Things Release from Simon Says Stamp! I'm also participating in an Instagram Hop today to celebrate - you can hop over to my Instagram page HERE to check out all the inspiration with this release, as well as the many prizes up for grabs! The set I'm featuring today might be my favorite of the entire release - it was so hard to wait until today to share it, but I wanted to share it for the IG hop!

One of my favorite hobbies is reading, so when I saw the One for the Books set, it was love at first sight! And with layering stamps, it just makes sense to me if I take the time to line it up in my MISTI, I may as well stamp it a few times, just switching up the colors each time. I used 3 pairs of ink colors for these - Clay and Brick, Aspen and Pine, and then Sky and Night - just switching out which one I stamped on which part of the design. Once those were done, I die cut with the coordinating dies, and embellished with some adhesive pearls, and some Glitter drops on select areas of each design. For the background, I stamped an older set called Old Letter in Cookie ink, then embossed over the top with the new Bundled Swag embossing folder. I ink blended over the top of that with Buttercream ink to add a slightly softer look, then used more Cookie ink just on the outer edges for a slightly distressed effect. I tore the panels in half diagonally to add some texture, and adhered those on my white cardbases. Added the secondary sentiments stamped directly on the cardbases in black ink, then added my books over the top with foam adhesive. I can't decide which sentiment I like best!!! Here is a closer look at all of these cards:
