Good morning! I'm back today with another card using the Simon Says Stamp Friend Like You Release! This time I was trying to build up my masculine birthday card stash - as well as put the newest ink colors to use!
I started by pulled out the new ink colors - Jade, Eucalyptus, and Juniper they are such a pretty set of greens! The new Firework Friends is adorable - but I especially loved the cute little row of trees in the set, and thought it would be perfect for some layered stamping to give a little forest effect. I stamped the lightest color first, then built up toward the front moving to the next darkest shade. I added a sentiment from Birthday Basics stamp set, trimmed the panel down with A2 Rectangles, then matted the panel with black cardstock, and mounted on a Sage cardbase. I was SOOOO tempted to add more embellishments, but decided to restrain myself, and keep the design super sleek and simple - perfect for a guy, and easy to mail as well!
