Good morning! I'm back with another project using the BRAND NEW Sugar and Spice Release from Simon Says Stamp! This time, instead of a card, I made a fun holiday wall hanging - it's still the right size for a card, so could easily be adapted for that, but I love that it can be used a bit differently!
I started off with the new Candy Cane Plate die, layered together in a bright happy color combo of Cotton Candy and Lipstick cardstocks. I then popped a frame over the top with a negative die cut from a Lacy Point Frames die - a bit of foam adhesive adds the perfect dimension! Then I die cut the new Loopy Bow die from a deeper shade of Schoolhouse Red cardstock, and some fun greenery from Ho Ho Holiday Greens die and Leaf Green cardstock. I also die cut one of the words from the new Holiday Duo die set, using white glitter cardstock for the main word, and vellum for the shadow layer. I arranged all those fun bits together, adhering with liquid glue, then added a sprinkling of Dazzling Clear Gems for extra sparkle. I finished off by creating the wall hanging portion, by adding another panel in the back, and adhering some May Arts Faux Silk ribbon in white between the layers. This gave it a polished and finished look - and it hangs perfectly wherever you want to place it! Here is a closer look at the finished project:
