Good morning! I've got another fun and colorful birthday card to share today, using a couple different sets from Simon Says Stamp - you might recognize the colors and the stamp set from the card I shared a couple days ago HERE! This was the stenciled background that I created before finishing the other card (I had originally planned to use them together, but didn't like them combined). I ended up using the leftover ink on my brushes to create the background for that other card. But since I had this lovely background finished, I had to complete a card with it, right?
I used the Big Basket Weave stencil to create the background, and while its name indicates it has a different purpose, I thought it was a perfect fit with the idea of building blocks! I blended several Rainbow Splash inks on the stenciled background - Crimson, Pumpkin, Dandelion, Grass, and Sea. Sentiment is Birthday Wishes, cut from black and white cardstock and layered together, then popped up with foam on the background. I stamped a cute image from Let's Connect, leaving it uncolored, and popped that up with foam adhesive over the main sentiment, then added a secondary sentiment from that set as well to finish off! Here is a closer look at the finished card:
