AEI{heart}U Challenge - Masking

Good morning! It's time for another AEIHeartU Challenge today! This month's theme is masking! This is such a fun technique to add so much versatility to your stamps!

I took one of the recently released stamp sets called Berry Good to make my card, and used a banner from More Stories.

I started off by stamping the banner on watercolor paper, then masking it off. I stamped the peach on the right, then masked it off before stamping the one on the left. I use post it notes with full adhesive for masking - and a hint to save time fussy cutting: I stamped the entire peach on a Post it Note, but only fussy cut out the left side of the peach, since that was the only part I was worried about overlapping. Just a good way to save yourself extra work! Once I stamped everything and removed the masks, I used watercolors to color in my image.

I added my sentiment on the banner using a tiny sentiment from Funky Monkey, and stamped the main sentiment in two parts by masking off the top or bottom before inking, then removing my masking. Post it notes work great for this as well, or washi tape is another great option! I die cut a panel of Crate Paper pattern paper using Finished Frames Elle-ments Dies, then added some jute twine and a few Citrus Blend Sequins

Thanks for stopping by today - I hope you'll join us and play along! Looking forward to seeing your creative uses of masking!
