Reverse Confetti February DT Hop - Goodie Boxes

Good morning! Now that Reverse Confetti has switched to every other month releases, on the non-release months we are going to have a blog hop instead! This is the first of those new hops! There is also a giveaway - check out the Reverse Confetti Blog for details! :)

The Design Team this time around is showing projects other than just cards - so I pulled out the super cute little Goodie Box die that was part of the last release, and put together some cute treat packaging!

These first ones I thought would be perfect for baby shower favors - one for boy, one for girl! I die cut the boxes out of Mist and Piggy Bank cardstock, then used the Goodie Box Additions to add windows in the boxes that I backed with acetate before assembling the boxes. I purposely put the boxes together "upside down" of what I've seen done - taping the "top" together to actually use for the bottom of the box. That way the top can be easily opened and re-closed. Although once I filled them full of jellybeans I decided to tie them closed with ribbon anyway, just to be safe, since they were heavy, and I knew it would make a huge mess if they came open on accident! Haha!

Finally, I made a band around them by using the heart border from XOXO Hearts Confetti Cuts. These were EXACTLY the right size that if I cut two of them, blued one heart over the top of the other on one side, then did the same on the other, it was JUST the right size to wrap around perfectly! Such a fun little touch that makes them a little more interesting.

And then...I decided to use up some of the negative pieces from the last two boxes, and make one more - this time leaving the lid the proper direction upward and showing another fun way to attach it closed.

I used the Piggy Bank circles that I had cut out of the pink box, layered on some of the heart centers from XOXO Hearts, then mounted those with foam adhesive on a box cut from Avocado Cardstock. Punched a couple little holes at the top and tied it closed with some pink/white raffia from my stash.
