Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Blog Party - Beautiful Flowers Monochromatic Trio

Good morning! Today I am thrilled to be part of an epic Blog Party starting on the Simon Says Stamp Blog for STAMPtember with Simon Says Stamp! What is STAMPtember? It is the month to celebrate all things stamping, and it all starts with an awesome HUGE exclusive release from Simon Says Stamp - and then lots of fun surprises and collaborations throughout the month! This party is also a scavenger hunt, as we all have coupon codes for something special with your purchase! I won't keep you in suspense - here is mine:

And now...on to the cards! I feel like I should say: "Hi, my name is Heather, and I'm addicted to making card sets..." Haha! I can't seem to stop at just one single card these days - there are always more colors, or pattern paper, or layouts, or sentiments to try! And this new Beautiful Flowers 2 Stamp and Die Set is too pretty to just make one card, don't you think?

I started off by lining up the gorgeous floral image from Beautiful Flowers 2 (the follow up to the incredibly popular Beautiful Flowers Stamp Set from the June Card Kit) in my Original MISTI on a panel of white cardstock. I then stamped it in several different ink colors, then added tiny sentiments from the same Beautiful Flowers 2 Stamp Set. I was going to use larger sentiments originally, but these tiny ones were just perfect with all those lovely florals!

This first card uses SSS Hot Mama Dye Ink:

Next, I lined up the Coordinating Beautiful Flowers 2 Dies over each floral, and die cut - keeping both the negative and positive die cuts - but discarding the tiny pieces. I probably could have kept those - but I kind of liked how it let the colored cardstock peek through a bit extra. I then attached the outer white panel with the sentiments directly on my colored cardbases created from colored cardstock from the Gina K 2018 Add On Collection - the colors ended up being perfect! Then, I added the floral images with foam adhesive - this allows a bit of the colored cardstock to peek through underneath the images, and helps them pop even more!

This second card uses SSS High Dive Dye Ink:

Finally, I added some sparkle with a few Pretty Pink Posh Pearl White Jewels - I love the color of these, since they seem to go with just about anything! And so pretty and elegant too!

This final card used SSS Coral Reef Dye Ink:

What about you? Would you have been able to stop with just one color? Which color is your favorite? I love them all together actually - it's kind of a fun color combination that happened quite by accident really!

Make sure and check out the rest of the party on the Simon Says Stamp Blog - and then head over to the STAMPtember category at Simon Says Stamp to grab any items you have your eye on before they sell out. And then keep your eyes open every day for even more surprises coming your way!

  8. I've always like monochromatic cards. One thing I would not have thought to do though, is leave in some of the die cut pieces. What a fab idea! It just adds that much more to an already beautiful card.
