Good morning! Today it's time for the monthly blog hop with Reverse Confetti! This is a non-release month, so instead of showcasing new products, we are sharing projects using already released items! This month's theme is Anything But a Card, so I've created a piece of wall art using one of my favorite stamp sets from the newest release, paired up with an older sentiment - they go together perfectly!
I stamped the lovely butterfly from Butterfly Blossoms and the sentiment from My Tribe with watercolor friendly black ink on watercolor cardstock, using my MISTI to get a good clear impression. I then watercolored the image with my Daniel Smith watercolors to coordinate with some pattern paper from the Sun and Sea 6x6 Paper Pad.
I layered together some of the pattern paper, trimmed down the watercolor paper a bit, and layered everything together - tucking some ribbon in the back to function as a hanger. I added some white cardstock over the back to sandwich the ribbon and leave a clean back edge - perfect for gift giving.
As a final finishing touch, I added lots of sparkle and shine! I applied some Nuvo Blizzard Glitter Drops on parts of the butterfly, and Glossy Accents on the florals. Hard to capture the shine, but this photo shows it best:
