Good morning! I'm back with a couple more cards using the BRAND NEW May 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Dandelion Messages! This kit is so sweet - dandelions just take me back to my childhood! The included stamp set by the same name has sentiments with a beautiful font and some great simple floral images, there is some lovely pattern paper, a versatile die, a gorgeous embossing folder - that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!
Today I have a couple clean and simple cards - I used to think these cards were so quick and easy, but sometimes, they are the most difficult to make! When you have so few elements on a card, they have to work just right. And...it is amazing how easy it is to end up with an accidental smudge or speck in all that white space and ruin the whole card!
For both of these cards I used some of the
pattern paper for a backdrop - this first one, I die cut it using
Basic Rectangles, and also layered a white layer behind it from a piece I had leftover from the stencil I used on the cards I shared a couple days ago (you can see those
HERE) This provided just a touch of dimension, but without adding a ton with foam adhesive.
Sentiment from the stamp set in the kit was heat embossed in white on that panel, and I die cut that
lovely dandelion 3 times from white cardstock for each card, then layered them together for a little additional dimension there as well.
This second card was created much the same, but using a panel die cut with
Nested Ovals from the pattern paper.
Both cards were finished off with some
Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix for some low dimension sparkle and shine - I wanted to keep these cards flat and easy to mail!
I love that pop of happy color from
the pattern paper on both of these, and then all the white space from the card base, die cuts, and even the heat embossed sentiments!
