Folk Art Trio - Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember 2021 Blog Party

Good morning! Today I'm delighted to be part of an epic Blog Party to celebrate STAMPtember at Simon Says Stamp - if you haven't seen the huge release, you can check it all out HERE! And starting tomorrow, there are lots of surprise collaborations with many of your favorite companies - so be watching for those as well!

For today, I'm sharing this bright and clean trio of cards using a fun new stamp set - Printmaking Florals - paired up with some previously released goodies from my stash that were PERFECT together!

I loved the fun layered design of Printmaking florals, and wanted to try it in lots of different color combos - of course! I used several different Pinkfresh Studio inks for my color combos - stamping first in black, then lining up each solid portion in my MISTI so I could just stamp each layer through the different color combos. This first one uses Bubble Gum, Raspberry Bliss, and Key Lime:

For the second one I went with a retro or fall feel - Clementine, Persimmon, and Doe inks:

And finally, these designs felt so very Scandinavian to me, that I couldn't resist doing some more traditional colors - so Berrylicious, Candy Apple, and Blue Jay for these ones:

After I finished stamping each panel, I die cut them with a Nested Circle die to create my focal point on my card.

I die cut Folk Dance die from a previous release 3 times, and layered the circles over the top with foam adhesive. I then used the circle area to hid adhesive tape, and adhere to white top folding card bases. This left the edges of the background die to float free, adding an extra sense of dimension to these cards.

I also punched a hole in the top of each circle, and threaded through and tied a twine bow for a bit more texture.

And finally, I added a bit of detail with a white gel pen, and adhered a few Pinkfresh Glacier Jewels to each of the floral images for a touch of sparkle!

Each stop along the blog party has a graphic with a free gift - its a sort of scavenger hunt to find the freebie that you want! Here is the one I get to share today:
