Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share something that was entirely new for me - and I had SOOO much fun creating! These are part of my Christmas gift for our two daughters - mini tag albums that I turned into gift card holders for multiple gift cards! They use some Pinkfresh Studio dies and papers and embellishments from the Holiday Magic collection (links to everything I used at the bottom of this post!)
I was inspired by our DT member Nathalie who did a mini album for the last couple Scrapbook Lives on the Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Channel, and someone commented the first week that it would be fun to make an album for gift cards. Well...I was in my craft room that afternoon, running with that idea - since we had already decided to do several gift cards as the main gift for my adult and nearly adult daughters. This was the perfect way to package them up all cute!
I used the Foldable Shaker Tags dies to create each of the tags, and the gift card holder on the back layer of each tag was added with a die from the Essentials: Shaker Tags dies before folding them together. They were the perfect size!
For one of the tags in each album, I created a shaker element with Shaker Stars Dies. These Foldable Shaker Tag dies make shaker tags SOOO easy - and what a fun way to create a tag and add a shaker, right?
Most of the tags were die cut from Holiday magic pattern paper, and then an assortment of embellishments finish each one off.
All these embellishments made it come together so quickly and easily!
The last couple tags I cut from white cardstock, then cut another one from pattern paper, trimmed it in half, and adhered it just to the front to conserve paper.
Each one also has an initial for which daughter I was giving it to. The letter "k" for my oldest daughter Katie, and an "a" for my youngest daughter Amy. It was a great way to tell them apart.
A few enamel dots add great color and texture mixed through the tags.
And on one tag in each album, I couldn't resist adding a tag on a tag - haha!
I used a bit of foam adhesive here and there to add a touch of dimension as well.
Finally, I used some strips of tulle to tie them all together - leaving the loop loose enough to be able to turn the pages, and adding a fluffy bow at the top. It was such a perfect finishing touch!
And there you go! I can't wait for them to open these and enjoy the fun packaging for some gift cards to let them have some fun shopping time after Christmas!
