I'm sharing this set of two baby cards - I always love making cards in pairs or multiples, and these were perfect to have a girl and boy one on hand!
As soon as I saw the Soft Plaid background stamp, I thought of baby cards - how convenient that there was the perfect die in this release as well! I created an emboss resist background, by heat embossing it with clear embossing powder, then blending either Rose or Seafoam ink over it - leaving it softer around the edges so it faded out to white near the outer edges.
Isn't that background dreamy? And I love the Baby Words die - it has the word baby in two different fonts. Maybe it's just me, but I thought one was a little more girly, and one was a bit more simple for a boy! For each card, I layered up 3 die cuts for some added dimension before adhering on my custom backgrounds.
And then the added sentiments came from the new Time to Party stamp set. While this is totally a birthday stamp set...doesn't it strangely fit to use those sentiments to celebrate a "birth" day? I stamed those in black on thin strips of white cardstock, and mounted with foam.
Finally, a few sparkly coordinating Pinkfresh jewels finish these cards off!
