Tropical Hibiscus Blooms - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live Card

Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card made earlier this week for Pinkfresh Studio's YouTube Live - I used some newly released items and some fun and different colors to create this tropical and happy card! You can watch the replay HERE if you want to see more details.

I absolutely LOVE this gorgeous Hibiscus set - Hawaii is one of my favorite places to visit, and one of my favorite things to see there are the gorgeous tropical flowers. So this just gave me all the tropical vibes - and I had fun using a bit of a retro color scheme on it as well!

I started off by creating a foiled window frame using the new Nested Hexagons hot foil plates and some Moondust foil to fit that aqua theme. I then die cut the window with Nested Hexagons dies, and Stitched Rectangles for the outer frame. This was perfect to mount with foam over my aqua cardbase.

I stenciled the flowers using a bright and fun mix of colors - and of course, aqua leaves to perfectly coordinate! I then used my Memory MISTI to stamp the image over the top with Detail Black ink, before die cutting with the coordinating die.

I arranged the florals on the card front, added a sentiment from the new Rainbow Sentiment ephemera pack, and finished off with a few sparkly jewels in coordinating colors.

And then...I thought it would be fun to decorate the inside of the card with some of the extra pieces! I had the hexagon that I die cut from the hot foiling to create the window, and all those extra floral pieces that we didn't use on the front.

The great thing is, this could easily have become another entire card! Just pop a sentiment on there, and you truly have a 2 for one card design, right?
