Good morning! Dropping by today to share a card made yesterday for Pinkfresh Studio's YouTube Live - I used some older products, and a bright, happy, and fresh color combo, inspired by the dress of a sweet little girl at our church this past Sunday! You can watch the video replay HERE if you want to see more details.
One of the things I love about the gorgeous Darling Dahlia's layering stencils, is that there is an included stencil layer to color in the background. The dress that inspired me was this bright happy yellow color, and then had bright and happy pink flowers. So I chose my colors accordingly and went with it! I first heat embossed the Darling Dahlia's stamp in white on white cardstock, since it would add the detail, and give a softer look to the color.
Once my panel was finished, I die cut it using Stitched Rectangles, and mounted it with foam adhesive on a white cardbase.
I added a frame using Ornate Oval Frame die, cut 3 times from white cardstock and stacked together for dimension. The sentiment was build with Phrase Builder :You dies - also die cut 3 times and stacked together - and with a shadow layer die cut from vellum for some soft definitely from the background (the Phrase Builder dies are all on sale through tomorrow also!). I added a secondary sentiment from Simply Sentiments: You, stamped in black on a thin strip of white cardstock, and tucked behind the frame.
I popped the frame and sentiment strip up with foam strips for more dimension, adhered the larger words with liquid glue, and then embellished with a few coordinating Essentials: Crystals - that bright yellow color was perfect! I love how sparkly they are, and how they tuck right around the frame here.
Here is the info for those phrase dies - click HERE or the photo for a link to the ones that are included!
