Hello! I’m popping in tonight to share a card with you using the BRAND NEW Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember collaboration with Pinkfresh Studio! In true Pinkfresh style, this is a lovely floral stamp – with two beautiful clusters. It also stays true to another favorite from Pinkfresh Studio – some great sentiments! They are all simple, which is perfect for adding a larger focal point sentiment, something I love to do, and have done on this card I’m sharing today!
I started off by grabbing some pattern paper from one of my Pinkfresh Studio 6x6 pattern paper pads - Happy Heart. I hate to admit to it being a busy week, but I found myself with very little time, and as much as I wanted to take time to color this gorgeous bloom up, I knew I didn’t have time. Heat embossing on pattern paper for the win! It shows off the lovely details in this image, and the pattern paper adds a pop of color and interest!
Once I had that image heat embossed, I decided to tuck it behind a window to frame it. I grabbed my Blanket Stitched Ovals, and die cut a window in an A2 panel to pop up with foam over the top. I used white cardstock, so that I could leave lots of clean open space, and keep the card light and airy and bright.
Next, I wanted to add a larger focal point sentiment, and since I adore hot foiling these days (who doesn’t?!?) – I grabbed a more recently released addition to the Phrase Builder: Hello set of dies that we released a while ago. The Phrase Builder: Hello hot foil plates are such a great addition to this set – it allows you to hot foil a sentiment, then use the previously released dies to die cut and create a shadow layer. I used the word “friend” and hot foiled it in Glimmer Aura foil.
Foil is notoriously hard to photograph, and I had super weird lighting the day I took these photos, thanks to major wildfire smoke in the air that day. But Aura foil is a beautiful soft gold with a bit of rainbow iridescence to it when the light hits it right. If you know, you know! I popped that up with foam, then added my supporting sentiment from the new STAMPtember set, stamped in detail black and trimmed into a thin strip with an angled edge, also with foam adhesive. Finished off with a few Sparkly Champagne pearls to embellish!
