Good morning! I'm back today to share another card created with the STAMPtember Release from Simon Says Stamp! Stamptember is a month long party to celebrate all things stamping, and it kicked off with a huge Simon Says Stamp release. I'm featuring one of the new stamp sets on these cards today, paired with a couple of previously released dies and 3D embossing folder.
For both cards, I started off by stamping the ornaments from Holiday Ornaments stamp set on die cut tags. I used two different tag dies - Large Standard Tag and Large Rounded Tag. These are a great size for actually using as gift tags, as well as a focal point on a card like this!
I stamped both images slightly offset on the tags for a bit of interest, then colored them in with Copic markers. I added a few white gel pen accents to help the images pop.
The backgrounds were created using the Kaleidoscope 3D Embossing folder and colored cardstock. I lightly misted both pieces of cardstock before embossing, to allow the paper to give a deeper impression. I set a cutting plate on top of them, and let them dry overnight - this way the paper didn't warp as it dried. I love the difference this extra time makes in the finished piece!
The next day, I added twine to the tags, and mounted them with foam adhesive over the backgrounds. I stamped sentiments from the same set, trimmed them into strips, and mounted over the top, using foam adhesive under the part not over the tag, and tucking the twine under to hold it in place.
Finished off with a few sparkly Metallic Gold Pearls! Which ornament or color combo is your favorite?
