Layered Happy Birthday Wishes - Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share one final card using the April 2022 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Poppy Perfection! This month's kit is full of beautiful poppies in stamp and pattern paper form! The included stamp set by the same name has several beautiful poppy images and fun sentiments, there is some gorgeous pattern paper, some fun acetate decorative elements, sequin mix...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more!

This card is nice and simple, and uses lots of that pretty pattern paper, because how can you go wrong with that?

I started off with a white cardbase, and trimmed the poppy pattern paper down slightly smaller and adhered it down with a tape runner - leaving the very edges free, and slightly curled up for dimension.

I trimmed down the other pattern papers to varying widths of strips, and layered them together, again, curling up the edges for dimension.

Then I just built my own custom sentiment from the Poppy Perfection stamp set in the kit, and stamped it on the front pattern paper!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE:

Paper Pieced Poppies - Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first cards using the BRAND NEW April 2022 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Poppy Perfection!

I have a simple card to share first, featuring a bit of stamping and paper piecing!

I love the beautiful poppy images in the stamp set, and the largest one is particularly lovely, so I decided to focus on that one on my card. And instead of coloring, I thought it would be fun to paper piece it.

I used some of the pattern paper in the kit, choosing one that had a fairly simple pattern, and would work for paper piecing the flowers. It was actually leftover scraps from another card that I will share soon - so a perfect way to use it all up!

I stamped the flowers, fussy cut them out, and attached with a glue pen to the flowers. I loved leaving the leaves and stems solid black - and how it pulls the focus to the flowers so well. I also stamped the sentiment in black in the open space.

I matted that panel with some more pattern paper from the kit, and added another tiny strip of the same pattern paper that I still had left behind the bottom. Once again, not wasting any of that paper, and I love how it draws the entire card together, adding one additional pop of red!

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE:

I have a couple more cards to share over the next few days too!

Together Again - Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit

Good evening! I'm stopping by to share my first card created with the BRAND NEW March Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Stronger Together! This kit has such a happy spring feeling to it - the included large stamp set by the same name is just lovely, the cute little Hello die is super fun, the pattern paper is GORGEOUS, I'm loving the watercolor pencil set included - not to mention the Cardstock, Envelopes, and more!

The past couple months I decided to try filming a video for my cards using the monthly card kits - I have had such a great response so far that I will continue as time allows. I've posted the video for this card on my YouTube channel HERE, and also below so you can watch either place you prefer. :)

Here is a look at the video I created sharing how this card came together:

I love the simple look of tone on tone embossing - using clear embossing powder over colored cardstock or pattern paper gives such a soft and dreamy effect! This one required a bit of ink blending to make it pop enough, but I still love how it came out.

Another love of mine is heat embossing on vellum - again, that same soft and dreamy look! Don't they go perfectly together?

The pattern paper in this kit is so lovely too - pairs so perfectly with these stamped images and sentiments in the kit. And that envelope? The perfect finishing touch!

Purple Daisies Hello Friend - Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit

Good evening! I'm stopping by to share my first card created with the BRAND NEW March Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Stronger Together! This kit has such a happy spring feeling to it - the included large stamp set by the same name is just lovely, the cute little Hello die is super fun, the pattern paper is GORGEOUS, I'm loving the watercolor pencil set included - not to mention the Cardstock, Envelopes, and more!

I've posted the video for this card on my YouTube channel HERE, and also below so you can watch either place you prefer. :)

Here is a look at the video I created sharing how this card came together:

For today's card I broke open and used the included watercolor pencils in the kit to color in one of the beautiful pre-printed Custom Watercolor Cards designed by Suzy Plantamura. Watercolor pencils aren't something I've used a lot - so I was super happy with how easy these worked! I added a torn edge to the paper, heat embossed sentiment from the Stronger Together stamp set, and tucked a bit of pattern paper under the panel - super fun and easy card!

Proud of You - - Simon Says Stamp DIEcember Release

Good morning! I'm back with another card for DIEcember using the fabulous NEW DIEcember release from Simon Says Stamp! Today I'm layering up some wood grain pattern papers to create this encouragement card with a masculine feel to it - or, just less girly than usual!

I started off by die cutting the fabulous new CZ Design Proud of You Wafer Die - love the way this layers together! I used white and black cardstock to stack them up together.

I thought it would be fun to layer together two different pieces of woodgrain pattern paper - these are from the ModaScrap Forever Green 6x6 Paper Pad. I die cut the oval out using the new Shimmer Oval Wafer Die - and just using the outer die to create the stitched window.

Finished off by adhering the layers together, mounting the die cut word with foam adhesive, and adding a tiny supporting sentiment using the previously released You Got This stamp set!

Critters, Birch Trees, and Hearts - Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit

Good morning! I'm stopping by to share a few more cards created with the BRAND NEW November Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Woodland Whimsy! This is an ADORABLE kit - the included large stamp set by the same name is absolutely DARLING, the pattern paper is BEAUTIFUL, the adorable deer die is the CUTEST - not to mention the beautiful pre-printed Suzy's Doodles Watercolor cards, the full set of watercolor paints, and several other adorable additions!

Today I used all those cute critters in the Woodland Whimsy stamp set in the kit, as well as those lovely birch tree images!

I started off by stamping the birch trees on panels of kraft cardstock with Khaki Dye Ink to cover and create a background on each one. Once colored, this gives a lovely no line look on the kraft paper, so  I colored them in with Copic colors, one with a darker shade, an done with a lighter shade. I then die cut a window from each panel using Wonky Hearts Dies, and since I couldn't bear to waste either piece, I was able to create 4 cards!

These first two cards use the panels with the windows die cut into them. I backed them with some of the simpler and softer designs of the pattern paper in the kit, stamped a simple sentiment from the stamp set, added two of the critters colored with Copics, and wrapped some twine around and tied in a bow to finish.

For the die cut pieces, I trimmed down some more of that pattern paper from the kit, added some machine stitching around the edges for interest, then mounted the hearts with foam adhesive. I added two more colored critters and a sentiment - both also popped up on foam adhesive. Bumpy cards are fun, right? A bit of twine tied in a bow finish these cards off as well.

Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can find all the details HERE:

The possibilities with this kit are so fun and endless! I can't get enough of this sweet woodland theme!

Paper Pieced Flower - Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Good morning! I'm popping in to share another card created with the BRAND NEW May Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Delicate Flowers! This is a super fun kit - I loved getting my hands on my first Alcohol Pearl inks (there are THREE in the kit!), and the Delicate Flowers stamp set is STUNNING! And not only is there some Yupo paper in the kit, but even some new Silver Sparkle Alcohol ink cardstock! There is some beautiful 6x6 pattern papergorgeous washi tape, and of course some cardstock and envelopes!

For today's card I used some of the pattern paper and the lovely stamp set to do a bit of fussy cutting and paper piecing!

I stamped the large lovely bloom from the Delicate Flowers stamp set on white cardstock and then two of the simple but beautiful 6x6 pattern papers in the kit. I carefully fussy cut out the layers and paper pieced them together, then cut around the flower leaving a thin white border around the edges.

Finished off with more pattern paper for the background, a Stitched Oval with the sentiment stamped on it, and a hole punched in the top with a bit of jute twine tied through!

Alcohol Pearls and Flowers - Simon Says Stamp Card Kit

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first card created with the BRAND NEW May Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Delicate Flowers! There is some beautiful 6x6 pattern paper, gorgeous washi tape, and of course some cardstock and envelopes!

For my first card, I just had to play with those lovely alcohol pearl inks! I used two of the three colors for this one - Sublime and Tranquil. I used my blowing tool and some of the blending solution to create the background on Yupo paper, then set it aside to dry thoroughly.

I stamped one of the flowers and leaves from the stamp set on white cardstock and fussy cut them out. I layered those over the alcohol background with foam adhesive.

I used my MISTI and some Stazon ink to stamp my sentiment - this is one of my favorite inks for stamping on Yupo paper.

And even though it's hard to capture the shine in the photos, you can see it a bit in this photo. SOOO pretty in real life!
