Clean and Graphic Floral Card

Good morning! I'm posting on the Winnie and Walter blog with a clean and graphic floral card - I have been loving watercolor florals lately, but wanted to make something that popped a bit more with the In Bloom: Addie's Garden stamp set:

I colored the flower with Copic markers, then fussy cut it out and layered it together with some vellum and pattern paper attached with a paper clip. Added a sentiment from This Awesome House, a bit of washi tape, some enamel dots, and finished off with a white woodgrain card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Runway Inspired - Congrats

Hello! Back again today with a card for the brand new Runway Inspired challenge - here is our lovely inspiration for this time around:

Here is my card for this challenge:

I started by heat embossing the Unity Tea Time Pattern Background in white on watercolor paper. I used some soft lavender MFT dye ink to create the center, then layered over some vellum and a glitter die cut "congrats" using Winnie and Walter's The Big, the Bold, and the You Cutaways. Finished off with a bit of bling from my stash, and some soft gray cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you'll join us and play along - can't wait to see what you make!

Lift Up Your Eyes

Good morning! Just dropping by this morning to share a card I put together last night with one of the brand new releases at Unity Stamp Company - there are so many sweet new images releasing - and lots of fun sales for the weekend! Today is also Friends with Flair - a chance to play with your Unity stamps and link up your creations, and leave some love on everyone else's for a chance to win a random grab bag of Unity stamps.

This one image just jumped out at me though - it's called Lift Up Your Eyes:

I kept it pretty sweet, soft, and simple. Colored with Copics, added a scrap strip of pattern paper, rounded a corner, and mounted on a kraft card base with a layer of foam in between.

Black and White Without You

Good morning everyone! I'm posting this morning on the Butterfly Reflections Blog. Today I'm sharing a fun one layer card - colorful, and yet simple and easy to put together!

I used a favorite technique of mine - ink smooshing - to create this card. I squished a couple colors of distress ink (it really doesn't matter what colors you choose - or how many!) on a piece of acetate, spritzed with water, then "smooshed" onto my white cardstock. Once that dried to create a pretty background, I stamped the images and sentiments from Waffle Flowers Monochrome stamp set over the top using Versafine Onyx Black ink (great for a nice dark impression!). Finished off with a layer of pattern paper from an Amy Tangerine 6x6 Stitched paper pad.

Rain or Shine - Sparkle and Shine Challenge

Good morning! YAY for a new challenge at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Blog - this week we have a beautiful photo inspiration, and a prize sponsored by Pretty Pink Posh! I pulled out some new Mama Elephant goodies I had been dying to play with to make a cute little scene on my card:

Here is the photo inspiration we have to play with this time around - fun to use for something fitting for Fourth of July, or use the colors, or find some other inspiration!

I die cut an oval panel with Lil' Inker's Stitched Oval Mats out of watercolor paper, then stamped my scene using Mama Elephants Chance of Rain. I used Zig Clean Color Brush Tip Pens and a waterbrush to color my scene, then added some woodgrain paper from MME, a sprinkle of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, and  splash of white Mister Huey's Mist, then adhered everything together with foam adhesive for dimension.

I hope you will join in and play along! Looking forward to seeing your creations! Have a wonderful day!!!

You Shine Bright - Winnie and Walter Rerun

Good morning! It's time for another fun Rerun at Winnie and Walter!

This month the featured stamp set is The Big, the Bold, and the Fun:

I made a super bright and happy card using this set, as well as the more recently released True stamp set.

I stamped the sentiment on watercolor paper in black, then stamped the stars in gray dye ink - actually stamping them twice and just slightly offset for a bit of a double effect. Watercolored around the outside of them with my Zig Clean Color Brush pens, blending with a waterbrush, then covered the stars with Glossy Accents. Once that dried, I added some splatters of black Heidi Swapp Color Shine, then mounted at an angle with some pattern paper from Glitz Designs and black cardstock on a white cardbase.

Make sure and stop over to the Winnie and Walter blog to check out more inspiration using this set, and find info more info on the Rerun feature and how you can play along!
