Vintage Monochromatic Roses

Good morning! Stopping by to share another Mother's Day card and Quick Tip video with you - also using the current sentiment kit from Unity Stamp Company. I love the vintage feel of this one - it was something totally fun and different that I hadn't tried with watercolors before!

And here is that Quick Tip video:

My camera malfunctioned in the middle when I added the splatters, but those were just added in two layers - first with the darkest shade of the blue watercolor I used - I dipped my brush in and used it to add the splatters. The second is the white splatter, and that was added by mixing a bit of white paint in water in a little spray bottle, then removing the sprayer portion and flicking a little of it on. I like doing that, because it is a more opaque white than any of the different white mists I have seen or used.

And here is another of the same one - just with a slight change of the sentiment - I especially think this sentiment fits his style of coloring particularly well!

The colors on this one were a bit softer - I love how using watercolors guarantee's that each card will be unique - even if you are trying to make them identical!

Here are links to the products I used on this including affiliate links where possible. Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!
