Heffy Doodle Birthday Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to the blog hop to celebrate the Heffy Doodle's FIRST BIRTHDAY - AND, the BRAND NEW June release at Heffy Doodle Stamps! So much cuteness going on here - and there is lots of inspiration and a great prize up for grabs as well!

Today I made a card featuring the adorable little stamp set called Shellabrate that is only available free with a £30 purchase in the Heffy Doodle Store - a £45 purchase even gets the dies for free (and...use code "HeffyBirthday2u" to get 20% off your purchase in the Heffy Doodle store until June 17th! Double win!) I paired it up with a new die, and another stamp set that is part of the new release! 

I started off with the new Stitched Bubble Background Die - and did lots of distress oxide ink blending using a combination of Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Salty Ocean and my Ranger Blending Brushes (definitely my new favorite for ink blending!). I added some water splatters, let those dry, then added some flicks of white paint for additional texture to the background.

Next up, I stamped and colored the adorable turtle and his hat from Shellabrate with my Copics and white gel pen for accents, then cut out with the coordinating dies. I also stamped and colored a present from the new Party Palooza stamp set so he can carry a little present to the party! I die cut it out with the coordinating Party Palooza Dies. I heat embossed nearly all the sentiments from Shellabrate, die cut them with Strips of Ease (super clever die for sentiment strips!), and trimmed them down, then mounted all of those items with foam adhesive on my dry background. Finished off with a few clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh for fun "bubbles" to accent the scene!
