Good morning! I recently was sent some super cute Spellbinders Stamp/Die sets from the adorable Debi Adams Collection! I had lots of fun putting together this duo of simple baby cards using New Arrival - of course one in pink and one in blue, because you never know which one you may need to have on hand!
I started off by creating loose watercolor backgrounds using my Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors. I misted my watercolor paper, dripped in the liquid watercolors, then mopped up some of the excess. I added some additional splatters, misted with water again, and then used a baby wipe to sort of mop up the extra and smoosh the ink around. I'll try to do a video sometime soon showing what I mean - but basically it was messy, random, and totally fun! The pink card uses Bubble Gum Liquid Watercolor, and the blue one uses a mix of Sky Blue and Sapphire.
I set those aside to dry, and stamped my images, colored with Copics, and die cut them out. Also die cut the stars from silver glitter cardstock and the clouds from white.
I planned where I wanted to place everything, and then attached each item down. I used sturdy tape for the clouds, foam adhesive for the storks with babies, and liquid glue for the stars.
Finished off by stamping the sentiment using my MISTI - there was NO way I was going to chance making a mistake on the sentiment at this point in the game! And I love that the MISTI is basically foolproof! Finished off by mounting those panels on a white cardbase!
