Pinkfresh Studios is kicking off a BRAND NEW January Challenge: Year in Review - paired of course with the option of many different fun color combos! This is your opportunity to revisit a challenge you missed, or maybe one that you really loved! I hope you'll come play along for a chance to win some amazing prizes - you can enter cards OR scrapbook layouts!!!
Here is the challenge info and inspiration photo:
I decided to play along with the July Challenge - Cutfiles and Diecuts - and used part of the color palette as well. I combined some older and newer sets, along with some of the Pinkfresh wide washi tape to create this card:
The background uses one of the panels from the Rainbow with Splatters Washi Tape - I adhered it to white cardstock, then die cut with one of the banners from the recently released Essentials: Ornate Banner Die Set. I also die cut a larger banner from white cardstock using the same set, and layered them together, and wrapped some twine around the front panel.
For the front of the card, I used Essentials: Classic Words die set, and cut the front layer from gold glitter cardstock, and the base layer from white cardstock, adhering them together. I mounted that with foam adhesive, then added a supporting sentiment from Make a Wish, heat embossed in gold on a strip of white cardstock. A sprinkling of white jewels from Essentials: Jewels Mix to add some sparkle is the final touch!

The ornate banner is lovely paired with the pretty washi. I only participated a few times last year so I'm happy to check the ones I missed.
