Good morning - and welcome to the STAMPtember blog party - part of the month long party by Simon Says Stamp to celebrate all things stamping. Make sure and head over to the Simon Says Stamp Blog HERE for all the links and info to join the fun!

Today I have another card to share with you using brand new exclusive Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Release - you can find it all HERE! In fact...I also have a special coupon code for you to receive a FREE enamel pin with any purchase - and their are different codes hiding throughout the blog hop, so you can choose exactly which one you want to use! You can also check out the STAMPtember Gallery - full of inspiring projects, and feel free to add your own as you receive your orders!

All right - time to move onto the card I have to share with you today. I so loved how all the different items I used came together on this card - a fun vintage feel to it that I love!

I started off by creating a blended background with Speckled Egg Distress Ink. I was going to add more colors, but it is such a gorgeous color, I ended up just blending the entire background with that one color! I then stamped the gorgeous Old Letter Cling Background Stamp over the top, and added some splatters of Perfect Pearls mixed with water over the top for texture.

Once that dried, I die cut it with Wonky Rectangles, and matted it with a thin border of black cardstock.

I die cut two of those fabulous Engraved Feather wafer dies from white cardstock - again planning on adding some distress ink to them. But they looked so crisp and clean on the background, that I ended up leaving them white to layer over my background.

I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from Tiny Words Support on some black cardstock, tore one edge, trimmed it down, then attached it to my card base tucked in between the feathers - all with a bit of foam adhesive behind them for dimension. Finished off by wrapping some black jute twine around the panel, tying in a bow, and mounting the entire thing on a white cardbase!

Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means if you use one of the links below that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

  10. Your card reminded me of childhood when I was in Middle School and 1776 celebration was happening. Yet - just modern in all of your choices. I adored this for taking me back and having a modern twist.
