Vintage Poinsettias Christmas Card - Simon Says Stamp

Good morning! It's hard to believe that the month is almost over, which means we have almost finished DieCember at Simon Says Stamp - a month devoted to celebrating die cutting. I'm back one last time before Christmas today to share another card using some of the DieCember Release - and possibly my final Christmas card to share this year!

This card uses a new layering stencil called Layering Poinsettias - I used it with several different Pawsitively Saturated inks, and tiny SSS blending brushes to get into the different nooks and crannies with my color and leave some variation in color.

Once I finished stenciling, I didn't really love how it looked on the plain white cardstock, so I decided to turn it a bit vintage instead! I blended around the edges with two different shades of light brown Pawsitively saturated inks. I love how the warm tones completely changed the look of it!

I still felt it needed something else, so I added some white paint splatters with Amersterdam ink, then added some different tones of gold splatters with my Starry Colors palette.

I set that aside and let it dry - but I love the extra texture that gave this! Once it dried, I adhered the panel onto my white cardbase.

For the sentiment, I used some of the Love Joy Peace Reverse Sentiment Strips, trimmed down, and mounted with foam on that background.

Finished off with a few Pinkfresh Butterscotch Glitter Drops in the centers of the flowers, and in a few random trios around the design.
