Blended Folk Art Slimline Card - Pinkfresh Studio YouTube Live

Good morning! I'm stopping by today to share a card I created for Pinkfresh Studio's YouTube Live  earlier this week. I used an older stencil set - and had fun stenciling it with some new Pinkfresh Blending Brushes that are going to be releasing soon! There are 1/2" and 1/4" brushes, and we used both to add some great details. I love how it brought new life to this layering stencil set! You can watch the video replay HERE if you want to see more details and watch this card come together.

Here is the replay of the live video if you'd like to watch it here:

I used a bright and spring color combo for the stencils, and mixed multiple colors on the layers to get a fun bit of depth and interest. Pinks, purples, yellows, and aqua for the leaves!

I love how it builds up the folk art effect on this stencil, and makes it almost look like it was painted!

I die cut a Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangle as a base layer for my stenciling. It is the perfect size to match up with the alignment guides on these stencils.

Once all the stenciling was done, I mounted it with foam adhesive on a coordinating aqua cardbase - just a bit of dimension, but it could easily be adhered down directly if you didn't want that extra height.

I added a pre-foiled sentiment from the first Foiled Sentiment ephemera pack, also popped up on foam adhesive. Because, why not?!?

And finished off with a sprinkling of Clear Iridescent Drops for added sparkle. I put them on strategic places on the background - I found on a more structured background like this, it's better to not just randomly add the bling.

And there you have it - a fun older stencil and the older foiled sentiment ephemera, all working together to create a fresh fun card, thanks to the addition of these new blending brushes!

Be watching for these to release - most likely at the very end of this month. We are so excited to have these available soon!
