Good morning! Yesterday I did a YouTube live on my own personal YouTube channel, using some supplies from Simon Says Stamp. I shared a fun floral stamp technique, and love the way it worked! The card on the right I created live, the card on the left was done in advance to test out the technique and make sure it worked in practice like it worked in my head - haha!
Here is the live video if you want to see this technique in action, or you can watch it directly on YouTube HERE:
While the video demonstrates it best, I'll try to briefly explain it here! I used the Beautiful Flowers stamp set to stamp on a panel of white cardstock, leaving the stamp in my MISTI so I could restamp it after adding the thin strips of colored cardstock. The colored cardstock all comes from the Rainbow Splash Cardstock Rainbow pack. Once those were in place (leaving a small space between each one), I put the panel back in my MISTI, and restamped the image over the top. This gave a perfect impression both on the white cardstock and on the colored cardstock! I trimmed the panel down slightly and rounded off one corner with my Corner Chomper, then added a stamped sentiment from the same stamp set. To add to the finished design, I wrapped some May Arts Gold Metallic string around the entire panel, fitting it into each of the grooves between the colored cardstock strips. Popped the entire thing up on a Cream cardbase, then added a few Honey Bee pearls to embellish! Here are more photos of these finished cards:
