Good morning! Last week there was another Create Together class on the Simon Says Stamp YouTube channel, this time with Jennifer McGuire and Simon Says Stamps own Heidi Crowl (you can check the video out HERE). There was an amazing class kit, and the kit items are also available separately. I fell in love with a couple items from the class, and thought it would be fun to play with them a bit and create my own cards! If you picked up the kit, I hope this gives you a bit of extra inspiration as you play with it!
The new Falling Hearts coverplate die is AMAZING! I have a feeling I will be using it a lot in the future! For these cards, I thought it would be extra fun to do monochromatic backgrounds by die cutting the panel from a lighter color cardstock, then backing it with a deeper color. I used a couple shades of Concord and 9th cardstock to do this, and adhered the layers together with foam adhesive. The main sentiment is from another class kit item - Good Greetings 1, stamped and die cut with the coordinating die. Before adding those, I wrapped around some White May Arts ribbon, and tied it in a bow on the side. I added that sentiment with foam adhesive, then added a secondary sentiment to each card from EZ Strips Reverse Love sentiment strips. Finally, I adhered those entire panels onto white cardbases!
