Hello! Today I'm dreaming of tropical destinations it would appear! I saw a fun image on Pinterest that inspired me to create this clean and graphic ocean sunset scene - also a great way to use up some colored cardstock scraps! And how fun are those sentiments?!? All supplies are from Simon Says Stamp - keep reading to see how this card came together!
I already mentioned I saw a fun image on Pinterest that inspired me (you can see it HERE). I pulled out my own choices of colored cardstock - using Lipstick, Orange Peel, Creamsicle, Bright Yellow, Banana, Lemon Chiffon, Surf Blue, Audrey Blue, and Peacock. I cut thin strips, then adhered them from top to bottom, overlapping each one for a layered and dimensional effect. Once I had them all done, I blended a bit of Fawn ink around the edges to add some shading and interest, then splattered with White Splatter. While that dried, I die cut the Hey Girl sentiment from white and black cardstock, and stamped and die cut a secondary sentiment from Through the Window. I trimmed the main panel down, matted with a bit of black cardstock, and then adhered to a white cardbase, added my sentiments with foam adhesive, and then finished off with a sparkly row of Sunbeam Gems for some shine on the sun! Here are more photos of this finished card:
