Hello! Some new Christmas stamp sets from Tim Holtz released earlier this past week, and Simon Says Stamp JUST today released coordinating dies for ALL 5 of the new sets on PRE-ORDER! So exciting to have those available so quickly - and they are all such fun sets! I'm starting off by sharing my first card using the new Christmas Doodles set, and a unique and festive color combo that just makes me so happy!
I started off by stamping and white heat embossing a few images from the Christmas Doodles set on Schoolhouse Red cardstock, then cutting out with the new coordinating dies. I then cut out several Petal Tipped Labels from Cotton Candy cardstock to layer them each on, using small foam squares. For the background, I embossed the Melbourne embossing folder on Cream cardstock, then swiped over a clear embossing ink pad before sprinkling with clear embossing powder and heat setting. This just makes the embossed design show up a little more, and adds some fun texture and shine. I assembled everything with foam adhesive between layers for lots of dimension. For the sentiment, the coordinating dies do include some fun little tags, but the sentiments also fit perfectly on some of the Tiny Text dies, so I used that and some black cardstock with white heat embossing. Finished off with a little bow of white twine on the mittens, and a sprinkle of coordinating Bubblegum Dazzling Gems for extra sparkle! Here is a closer look at the finished card:
