Good morning! I'm excited to share today that the BRAND NEW Pretty Pink Posh January release is live and available to shop! Woohoo!!! There is a 3 day blog hop starting in a couple days that will be loaded with inspiration, but you don't have to wait for that to pick up your favorites now!
One of my favorite sets from this release is the beautiful Crocus Flowers, and they pair up so lovely with lots of the other new release items!
I actually colored these crocuses while on vacation visiting my good friend Crystal Thompson Designs - you know you have a good friend when they share their Copic markers with you, right? I did some simple flicking with the colors, layering up from lightest to darkest. These flowers were perfect for this technique, and so much fun! I then added a good sprinkling of white dots with a white gel pen for added texture and an almost frosty look, and die cut them with the coordinating Crocus Flowers Dies.
Next up, I die cut the base layer of the beautiful Decorative Tag 2. This die is super clever with it's second layer, but it also works so well for a classy frame like on this card - love how versatile it is! I layered all my crocuses until I was happy with the arrangement, then used my favorite Jennifer McGuire trick of picking it up with Press and Seal, flipping to add adhesive, then pressing in place and removing the Press and Seal. Perfect placement every time!
Next, I die cut the small heart from the new Scallop Heart Die (SOOOO happy to have this added to the scallop die collection!), then tucked in a tiny sentiment from Floral Hearts, heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock. Mounted the entire panel on some SSS Green Leaf Cardstock, then with foam onto a white cardbase, and finished off with a sprinkling of the new Sugar Plum Jewels Mix.
