Color Blocking and Confetti Birthday Cards - Simon Says Stamp Celebrate You Release

Good morning! This morning I'm sharing a couple more cards with the SUPER fun NEW release from Simon Says Stamp called Celebrate You - I always love birthday cards to add to my stash, and I used some of the new goodies to create some one layer designs!

For both these cards I used a sentiment from the new Big Birthday Greetings - this first one I heat embossed it in white on a white cardbase to begin.

Next, I used Post it Tape to mask off sections, then did some ink blending on each section, also placing the new Confetti Stencil over the t op and blending the same shade darker to add a bit of confetti texture.

Once I had finished all 3 stripes, I used a dry cloth to remove any excess ink from the words, and added a few splatters with Perfect Pearls over the top!

This next one is a super simple design - and so easy to recreate!

For this one, I used the same Confetti stencil to add confetti to the background - rotating it 90 degrees each time I changed colors to change the placement of the ink. I then stamped the same sentiment over the top in black ink to finish it off!

Which style do you prefer?

Lots of fun with the new release coming in the next couple days - keep watching for new fun and blog hops! I'll be back for day 1 of the blog hop on Thursday morning - in the meantime, go check out the new release HERE!
