Good morning! Every now and then I notice that my sympathy card stash is getting low, and while sympathy cards are not anyone's favorite cards to make, they are so great to have on hand when you need them. Today I'm sharing a trio of them I created using a gorgeous stencil and a perfect sympathy stamp set - both from Simon Says Stamp.
I absolutely LOVE this Peony Bouquet Stencil, and was so happy to have an excuse to ink it up finally - and Moments of Grace is one of the most lovely sympathy stamp sets I've ever seen. The font on the larger words is gorgeous, and I love how meaningful the sentiments are.
For the pink version, I used Tattered Rose and Shabby Shutters distress inks, and turned the stencil so that I only used it on both corners. This one is matted on some Cotton Candy cardstock.
I thought it would be fun to use some less traditional colors for the flowers on one card, so I did this one all in shades of blue - Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Stormy Sky, then matted on some Surf Blue cardstock.
The yellow version used the most ink colors - Scattered Straw and Wild Honey for the flowers, and Bundled Sage and Peeled Paint for the leaves, with a bit of Lemon Chiffon cardstock to back that one up.
Once the sentiments were stamped, I also added some Perfect Pearls splatters, and a touch of Gloss Accents to the centers of the flowers. Both are subtle, but add a little special touch.
