Sweet Birthday Cake - Pinkfresh Studio and Stamping Village Set

Good morning! I thought today might be a good day to stop by and share a couple of cards I made with the newest Stamping Village collaborative stamp set that was revealed at Creativation this year! It has a stamp designed by each of the companies in the Stamping Village, and $5 from each set goes to benefit the Dreaming Zebra Foundation that provides art and music supplies to schools and organizations across the country so that all kids, regardless of their financial status, have a chance at art education.

This set is different from previous sets - the theme is birthday, and the layout is different than the circle seals that were previously included. I love this theme - because who DOESN'T always need birthday cards! I'm sharing two cards today with the Pinkfresh Studio's design, which is a little different and unique in that it has individual elements that can be used a few different ways!

For this first card, I used the stamp set as you would expect - stamping out each of the pieces to create a simple and cute cake, and using several fun colors of Pinkfresh Studio inks.

I die cut that panel using Essentials: Ornate Banner die set for a fun framed element. I decided to use a square cardbase, and added some white paint splatters for texture.

A layer of vellum with a torn edge tucked over that, then mounted the banner with foam adhesive and wrapped some twine around the entire card. Finished off with a few sparkly white jewels from Essentials: Jewels Mix.

This second card share how versatile this stamp set is - you can stack that cake as high as you want! Anyone else love lots of layers?

This one I stamped with lots of fun ink colors, then die cut with Essentials: Ornate Oval Frame Die to be able to use the oval in the center. I saved the white frame for another later use, and then die cut the frame from some mint cardstock.

I used Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles on the background paper, then layered everything together, using foam adhesive to add the frame.

Finished off with some sheer white ribbon and a few more of those lovely jewels!
